THE EX KELSO LADDIES CLUB

The members of this club are all Ex Laddies and work in the background, but are a very important part of the current festival as they are the body responsible for selecting the Kelso Laddie to represent the town each year.
Their current chairman is Ex Laddie Eric Paxton, who was the KL in in 1976 and since his term as a principal he has always been a very active and involved Ex Laddie who serves the association so well.
The club meet only 3 or 4 times a year and and also convene for an Ex Laddies Dinner and an Open Dinner when guests are invited. During Civic Week there is a get together on the Wednesday night. The Club also present an Annual Achievement Award as noted below.
The club is non profit making and their fund raising throughout the year generates funding which is donated to good causes in our locality. The club also present a personalised saddle cloth to the new Laddie and the Ex Laddies Tie to the outgoing Laddie.
If any of you see a fundraiser organised by them please support it if you can as you can guarantee the funds are going to a very good cause.
Club Secretary: Fraser Hastie
Club Treasurer: Adrian Gajczak

MEETING OF MINDS The Ex-Kelso Laddies Club made a Donation of £250 to the Meeting Of Minds Charity, but you can help as well!!! Meeting Of Minds was set up to support families in our area by helping their children with additional and sometimes complex needs, also giving the opportunity for parents to meet and support each other. During these difficult times the charity continues to provide bespoke support to all the family. With the recent lockdowns, and now with rising costs in every sector of our lives, all charities, including Meeting of Minds, are suffering from the reduction in public donations, but unfortunately the problems and the needs of the people we strive to help in many cases increase. If you would like to donate to, or just get more information about this great charity in your area please follow this link: https://www.meetingofminds.net/ Any donation, large or small will be greatly appreciated. Many thanks. |
